Abstract: The paper presents the mathematical models, the equivalent electrical schemes with the
rotor winding referred to the stator one, the simplified mathematical models with their
limits of application and physical interpretations concerning the performances obtained
in the vector control of the induction motor. The general mathematical models can be
simplified for slow transient processes, in this case the results obtained can be
correlated with elements of the steady state, and the physical interpretations will be
more adequate. It is to remark that the transformer e.m.f. can be neglected only in the
synchronous reference system.
