Paper title: NOVEL SOFTWARE SIMULATION AND TEST METHOD FOR A RECEIVED SIGNAL STRENGTH INDICATOR-BASED INDOOR POSITIONING SYSTEM

Author(s): PHILIP COANDA, MIHAI AVRAM, VICTOR CONSTANTIN,

Abstract:

The paper deals with a novel method for the simulation and testing, as well as the software and hardware structure used to implement an indoor positioning solution based on the strength of the RSSI (Received Signal strength Indicator) signal of several Bluetooth based devices. An original method is proposed for the use of such a system, as well as a mathematical model, simulation, signal filtering and both theoretical and experimental results.

Keywords: Indoor positioning system, Bluetooth signal strength, modelling and testing
