Abstract: Neurorehabilitation requires improvements both nationally and internationally in terms of costs, accessibility and quality, so
that sufferers of neurological disorders have access to better therapies in order to improve their quality of life. Classical
rehabilitation techniques have their limitations, so new procedures are needed, based on the evolution of technology. Our
current paper will shortly present some of the neurological conditions that affect the highest number of persons at global level,
then we will mention some classical and modern therapies, and finally we will present INREx VR, a neurorehabilitation system
based on several emerging technologies, such as virtual reality, motion detection and gesture control, which has the goal of
facilitating the training process of both patients suffering from neurological conditions and the medical personnel involved in the
recovery process.
