Author(s): GEORGE-CĂLIN SERIȚAN, BOGDAN-ADRIAN ENACHE, RADU PORUMB, FLORIN-CIPRIAN ARGATU, FELIX CONSTANTIN ADOCHIEI, VITA VASILIKI,

Abstract:

In our days where teaching methods and techniques are directed to the virtual environment using on-line platforms such as Khan Academy, we believe that this approach needs to be studied more closely in order to improve the educational process. Starting from this and analyzing several studies that have shown that the most effective way of transmitting new engineering information is using visual instruction, we developed a methodology for engineering laboratory practice that can ease the process of migrating from the classic approach to a modern web-based one. This methodology has been applied to all the stages of the laboratory practice: preparation, beginning, deployment and closing. It brings several advantages like flexibility, progress monitoring, adapting to the student’s needs etc.
