Paper title: DIRECT TORQUE CONTROL USING SPACE VECTOR MODULATION OF WIND PUMPING SYSTEM WITH STORAGE

Author(s): IDIR ISSAD, KASSA IDJDARENE, SOFIA LALOUNI,

Abstract:

The paper’s aim is the control of water flow pumping system compound of a squirrel cage induction motor (IM), powered by a variable wind speed isolated induction generator (IG), with battery storage system. Induction machine and induction generator are both DTC-SVM controlled using proportional integral (PI) regulators. This control strategy is preferred to others solutions, to ensure performances and reduce torque and flux ripples. An energy management algorithm is used to control the energy that must be stored or recovered from the battery storage to adapt wind power to hydraulic power fixed by the desired water flow. Simulations carried out under Matlab/Simulink environment confirmed the robustness of the efficiency of the presented control algorithms.
