Abstract:

A fast procedure for the evaluation of the static B-H characteristic of soft magnetic materials is proposed. One adopts a nonlinear magnetic circuit model, in which the magnetomotive force-magnetic flux relationships of the circuit branches are obtained by solving stationary magnetic field problems in 2D or 3D structures. The sample whose B-H characteristic is evaluated has a parallelepiped shape and is found on one of the magnetic circuit branches. One admits that the magnetic field is uniform in the sample.
