Paper title: WAYS FOR MITIGATING THE TRANSFORMER UNIT OPERATION IN EXCESSIVE WORKING CONDITIONS

Author(s): TRAIAN CHIULAN, BRĀNDUŞA PANTELIMON,

Abstract:

Transformer unit safety in operation and lifetime depend not only on the quality of the materials used and maintenance, but on the admissible operating conditions observance, as well. This requires that the stresses caused by the operating voltages (steady state or transient) and those caused by the long or short time operating currents be maintained within normal or controllable limits.

Keywords: Power transformers, Operating regimes, Energy system safety.
