Abstract: The aim of the present paper is to show the analysis of the direct torque control technique (DTC) performances applied to a
doubly fed induction generator (DFIG) driven by a wind turbine (WT), taking into account the randomness of wind allowing the
three modes operation (sub, super and synchronous) of the DFIG, with a particular focus on synchronous and the over-speed
modes. The captured wind energy is optimized to extract the maximum power using the maximum power point tracking
(MPPT) algorithm. Beyond the nominal turbine speed, we will be acting on the pitch angle control. The studied system control is
tested and validated through numerical simulation. The obtained results show the effectiveness of the control strategy leading to
best performances.
