Paper title: COMPARISON BETWEEN FREQUENTLY USED HYSTERESIS MODELS

Author(s): LUCIAN PETRESCU,

Abstract:

Magnetic materials have an important place in the electromagnetic devices. A good simulation of these devices involves taking into account the non-linear character of the magnetic materials. The aim of this paper is to presents a comparison between three usual models (Potter-Schmulian, Ossart and Jiles-Atherton) for engineering applications for the same magnetic material. The measurements were made on the magnetic recording material sample (floppy-disk), an isotropic magnetic material, with a Vibrating Sample Magnetometer ( LakeShore© VSM 740).

Keywords: Magnetic materials, Hysteresis modelling.
