(In this work, we study an universal model developed by Amphlett for PEMFC (proton
exchange membrane fuel cell). In a direct coupled system, it is important to match the
load to the PEMFC stack, otherwise the power fed to the load could be well below the
maximum power available in the PEMFC stack. This power loss resulting from this
mismatch leads to a lower efficiency of the overall system. The transfer of the PEMFC
maximum power to the load is not always guaranteed. This simulation must precede
any implementation phase. The result will guide the user to the adoption or no of direct
connection PEMFC load. The goal is to draw best power of the stack in order to
achieve maximum global efficiency.)
