Paper title: COMPARISON STUDY OF TWO TRACKING METHODS FOR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS

Author(s): AMINE ATTOU, AHMED MASSOUM, MOHAMMED CHADLI,

Abstract:

The maximum power point tracking (MPPT) aims to increase the efficiency of photovoltaic (PV) systems. Many methods have been introduced to achieve this objective. This paper proposed an intelligent method for maximum power point tracking based on fuzzy logic controller (FLC) and its comparison with traditional perturb and observation (P&O) method. The system has been experienced under disturbance in the photovoltaic temperature and irradiation levels. The simulation results show that the proposed maximum power tracker could track the maximum power accurately and successfully in all condition tested. The results are illustrated to show the improvements obtained by the proposed FLC based MPPT method.
