The quality of the power supply service for the industrial consumers has an important influence for the economic performance of a marine drilling platform.The paper presents the results of calculations and the experimental research activity in the electrical installation for an offshore platform in the Black Sea. It identifies the causes of uneconomic operation and the establishes technical solutions for solving the issues.
