Paper title: A.C.-D.C. VOLTAGE SINGLE-PHASE STATIC CONVERTER WITH POWER FACTOR CONTROL

Author(s): IONEL COLŢ, FLORIN IONESCU, IONUŢ ŞTEFAN IONESCU,

Abstract:

This paper presents a solution for single-phase static A.C.-D.C. converter, which ensures an unitary power factor control (PFC) in the supply network, with deforming power consumption under 2%, with filtered and stabilized voltage at output (DC). The converter is based on a voltage elevating chopper (Boost) of variable frequency (10…100 kHz) and a specialized driver (MC 34262), inserted in a single-phase rectifier. The current and voltage harmonics generated be the chopper and transmitted to the network are attenuated by a passive filter. The results obtained on an experimental model of 1200 W (230 V/ 50 Hz), have confirmed the theoretical problems and the calculus relation approached in this paper.

Keywords: A.C.-D.C. single-phase converter, PFC, stabilized direct voltage.
