Abstract: A numerical study on the flow of the blood – magnetic carrier aggregate, in an external
magnetic field, for applications such as magnetic drug targeting is reported here. The
magnetic field is produced by a permanent magnet, embedded in the muscular volume.
Numerical simulations results evidence complex field-flow-structural interactions.
