Abstract: The paper proposes an efficient method for selecting the frequencies of sinusoidal test
signals of soft fault diagnosis in fault dictionary approach. The method has two steps. It
starts with the optimum frequency ranges determination based on circuit sensitivity
analysis. Then, the optimum set of frequencies is selected using the entropy criterion.
