Paper title: LOW SPEED AXIAL FLUX PMSM: A POSSIBLE MAGNETIZATION FUNCTION OF A TOOTH-COIL WINDING

Author(s): PAUL CURIAC, DO HYUN KANG,

Abstract:

In a before presented paper it has been introduced an axial flux permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) with one disk rotor between two stators, wounded in a concentrate winding type and having sub unitary number of slots/pole/phase-a tooth-coil technology. This type of winding facilitates the magnetizing inductor function of their proper stator coils. Some aspects of the performance obtained in the magnetizing inductor mode of operation are highlighted by digital simulation. A scale-down demonstrating model confirmed also the feasibility of the magnetizing inductor function of the stator winding.
