Paper title: FEEDBACK CONTROL OF CONSERVATION LAW SYSTEMS. PART I: MODELS

Author(s): EMIL PETRE, VLADIMIR RĂSVAN,

Abstract:

Among the controlled systems with distributed parameters those described by systems of conservation laws have some specific properties. Starting from a benchmark problem – the Saint Venant equations of the canal flows – there are given some functional equations with deviating argument which describe boundary value problems for systems of conservation laws. Basic theory and invariant sets are discussed in order to obtain useful model properties for the design of stabilizing feedback control of the flow.
